TRIVIA BITS - IRVING BERLIN
Irving Berlin, one of America’s great song-writers, taught himself to play by practicing on a [piano in a saloon where he worked as a singing waiter. He could only play on one key – the key of F-sharp.

One of Irving Berlin's great songs was written in 1940 and originally sung by Bing Crosby on Christmas Day in 1941. It was used in the movie Holiday Inn (1942) and then had a complete movie written around it for the 1954 movie White Christmas starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. Also starring was Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen featured here in their duet - Sisters.
