52ND GRAMMY AWARD POSTER
The artist behind one of the most iconic images of last year's presidential campaign – the Obama "Hope" portrait – is painting the Grammys with his unique brand of cool.
Shepard Fairey – whose vision for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards official poster features a modern take on the classic gramophone image – found fame 20 years ago as one of the creators of the Andre the Giant has a Posse and ensuing Obey Giant street art campaign, which also spawned a clothing line.
Fairey and his firm have also created album covers for bands including the Black Eyed Peas, Led Zeppelin and Smashing Pumpkins, as well as the movie poster for the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line.
The Grammy Awards will air on Sunday, January 31st, 2010.
