MOVIE NEWS … TERMINATOR FRANCHISE

MOVIE NEWS … TERMINATOR FRANCHISE
Apparently Halcyon Entertainment is only interested in talking to serious buyers when it comes to auctioning off the rights to the Terminator franchise. This is too bad for the likes groups of fanboys who can scrape together a couple thousand and think they totally know where the Marcus Wright character should have gone. But even if they're leaving out those most dedicated to the Terminator cause, the folks at Halcyon are managing to find buyers anyway. They told Variety, ""Over the past few weeks, Halcyon and its professionals have engaged in in-depth discussions and negotiations with numerous serious potential buyers, including several major movie studios. In addition, a number of attractive refinancing alternatives have also been presented. In order to maximize the value of a transaction for all of the company's creditors and stakeholders, we are fully analyzing all these options." They expect to be done with the auction by February, which still gives the assorted wannabe John Connors of the world time to set up their own major studio and make an offer Halcyon can't refuse. Still, it's looking likely that the Terminator franchise will rest in good hands, even if the direction of the story from here remains completely unclear.
