1991 - Calum Worthy - a Canadian actor who began his film career in 2000 at the age of nine, and is best known for his work in Dr. Dolittle 3, I Was A Rat, Out of Order, Psych, Smallville, and Stormworld.

1987 - Chelsea Brummet - an American actress and singer and known for her work on Nickelodeon's All That.
1985- Libby Trickett OAM  -is a world record holding and Olympic gold medalist swimmer from Australia. She won gold as part of the 2008 Australian Olympic team, and was also a gold medalist at the 2004 Summer Olympics. She is the world record holder in the short-course(25m) 100 metres freestyle.
1981 - Elijah Wood is an American actor who made his film debut with a minor part in the Back to the Future Part II (1989). He landed a succession of subsequent larger roles and became a critically acclaimed child actor by age 13. After his high-profile role as the Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy, he has resisted typecasting by choosing varied roles in critically-acclaimed films such as Bobby, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Sin City, Green Street and Everything Is Illuminated. Most recently he starred in the film Day Zero (2007) and provided the voice of the main character, Mumble, in the award-winning animated film Happy Feet. He also played an American tourist turned vampire in Paris, je t'aime. In 2005, he started his own record label, Simian Records.

1977 – Joey Fatone, Jr. - is an American singer, actor and television personality best known as a member of the American pop group, 'N Sync, in which he sang baritone. In 2007, he came in second place on the ABC reality show Dancing With The Stars. 

1975 - Terri Colombino is an American actress. Since 1999, she has portrayed the role of Katie Perretti on the CBS soap As the World Turns.

1971 - Anthony Hamilton is a Grammy Award Winning American R&B, soul, and neo soul singer-songwriter, and record producer who rose to fame with his platinum-selling second studio album Comin' from Where I'm From (2003), which featured the singles "Comin' from Where I'm From" and "Charlene." 

1969 - Kathryn Morris is an American actress, perhaps best known for her lead role in the CBS series Cold Case. 

1968 - Sarah McLachlan, OC, OBC is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter best known for her emotional ballads and mezzo-soprano vocal range.[3] As of 2006, she has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. Her best-selling album to date is Surfacing, for which she won two Grammy Awards (out of four nominations) and eight Juno Awards. She founded the Lilith Fair tour, which showcased female musicians in the late 1990s.
1936 - Alan Alda - an American actor, director and screenwriter known for his role as Hawkeye Pierce in the TV series M*A*S*H. During the 1970s and 1980s, he was viewed as the archetypal sympathetic male, though in recent years, he has appeared in roles that counter that image.

2007 - Scottish band The View went to No.1 on the UK album chart with their debut 'Hats Off To The Buskers.'
2007 - Dreamgirls: Music from the Motion Picture was at No.1 on the US album chart. The musical based on the history of Diana Ross and the Supremes featured Jamie Foxx, Beyoncé Knowles, Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Hudson, Anika Noni Rose and Keith Robinson.
2004 - Elvis Presley fans expressed their anger at plans to cut up a rare tape of the singer’s early songs and sell the snippets at auction. The tape, which featured a recording made by Presley during the early 1950s, was now too fragile to play. US firm Master Tape Collection said the tape would be cut into two-inch snippets and sold for £270 ($460) each.
2002 – More than 30 years after the heyday of soul duo Sam & Dave, Sam Moore finally launches a solo career when he releases “Plenty Good Lovin’: The Lost Solo Album,” in England on Swing CafT.

1949- The Admiral Broadway Review premiered on television. The one and a half hour comedy review starred Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca. The show was so popular Admiral was swamped for orders for new televisions and ironically was forced to cancel the show to focus on their production needs. The show was revived as Your Show of Shows, one of the great shows of early television.

1930- Warner Brothers Cartoons Born. Leon Schlesinger, the head of Pacific Art and Title, signed a deal with several unemployed Disney animators who had left Walt to form their own studio but had been stiffed by their contacts. Schlesinger had connections with the Warner Bros. since he helped them get funding for the 'Jazz Singer'. They create Leon Schlesinger's Studio Looney Toons, in imitation of Disney's Silly Symphonies. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig and more result. Schlesinger sold to Warners Bros. and retired in 1943.
