Janet Jackson hit the stage with a 30-song set during the opening night of the 2010 Essence Music Festival held at the Louisiana Superdome on Friday (July 2) in New Orleans.
It had been two years since Janet performed on a concert stage.
In addition to Janet, the lineup included Gladys Knight, Mary J. Blige Monica, Keri Hilson, and Alicia Keys.
