THE LAST TYCOON
The character of Monroe Stahr in The Last Tycoon, the final unfinished novel by US author F Scott Fitzgerald is said to have been inspired by the life of Irving G Thalberg.
In the early 1930’s Fitzgerald had worked as a screen writer at MGM where he met and admired the driven, energetic producer.
