THE
SCOTTSBORO
BOYS
The U.S. fall theatre season is just around the corner.
Among the most anticipated shows is the Broadway transfer of The Scottsboro Boys, the final collaboration from the powerhouse team of John Kander and the late Fred Ebb (Chicago, Cabaret, Curtains).
The Scottsboro Boys uses the once-popular minstrel show performance style to tell the compelling true story of a group of young African Americans falsely accused of rape in 1931 Alabama. Here is a look at stars Colman Domingo, Forrest McClendon, and Joshua Henry (in a pre-Broadway run at the Guthrie Theatre) leading the Boys in what's sure to be a moving and unforgettable show.
Unfortunately and alas, The Scottsboro Boys probably won’t make it to Australia and from what we see that will be a pity.
