Daniel Radcliffe is taking his latest role very seriously.
He's seeing a psychologist specialising in grief and loss as research for 3D gothic thriller The Woman In Black.
The Harry Potter star wants to relate to the trauma of his character, lawyer Arthur Kipps. So he has opened up about his pain at missing his beloved nan Elsie's funeral due to his 2008 stint on Broadway in the play Equus.
A source said: "The preparation has been difficult. Daniel is filming a mature, complex role and wants to understand his character's emotion."
