The self-proclaimed King of the World may soon work with Hollywood's reigning queen in a 3D version of Cleopatra! James Cameron is exploring the possibility of directing Angelina Jolie for the Sony Pictures project.
This one is based on Stacy Schiff book called Cleopatra: A Life. According to Deadline, Sony's co-chair Amy Pascal decided to put the project in fast-track after screenwriter Brian Helgeland wrote a script that's being described as "brilliant" and "deserving of epic treatment."
Here’s hoping that the same drama and headaches brought to the production of the 1963 Cleopatra starring Elizabeth Taylor don’t happen.
