Greta Garbo is remembered as a style icon of the 1920’ and 1930’s, when her on and off creen wardrobes inspired fur collars, berets and rakishly tilted hats.
Not man would know that that many years earlier, a relatively frumpy 18 year old Greta had appeared in an advertising film How Not To Wear Clothes (1921) made for the Stockholm department store where she worked as a salesgirl.
