Deadline is reporting that a hot project in town that just sold to Fox 2000 involves the rights to Beach Boys music to be developed into an "original musical" with a storyline featuring more of the "surf and fun prevalent in the band's many hits."
Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, producers of Hairspray and the upcoming Footloose, are developing while Susannah Grant, of Erin Brockovich, is writing the script.
