Ten good songs to help to add to the Halloween Party Music List:

“Monster Mash” by Bobby “Boris” Pickett. This perennial favorite was #1 in 1962, and remains a favorite Halloween song more than 40 years later.

“Ghostbusters” by Ray Parker, Jr. The theme song to the popular movie hit #1 in 1984 and stayed there for three weeks. It's still a popular song for Halloween festivities and parties.

“Witch Doctor”  by Ross Bagdasarian, and also performed by the Chipmunks. Can you say, “Ooh eeh ooh ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang”?

“Thriller” by Michael Jackson. Kids of all ages know this song and relate it to Halloween. Even if they don’t know the words, "Thriller" will get them moving to a monster beat. The video is too scary for young children, though.

"Time Warp" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Although originally recorded for the adult themed movie, it’s also known as a Halloween classic. Even the Chipmunks recorded a version of "Time Warp". “It’s just a jump to the left…”

“The Purple People Eater” by Sheb Wooley. It reached #1 on the Billboard pop chart in 1958.

“The Addams Family” theme song written by Vic Mizzy. Although The Addams Family only aired from 1964-1966, its theme song remains hugely recognizable.

“I Want Candy” by Aaron Carter. Although it was originally recorded by The Strangegloves in 1965, most kids are more familiar with the 2000 Aaron Carter version.

“The Munsters” theme song was composed by Jack Marshall. The instrumental theme song features guitar and trumpet sounds, backed by an orchestra.

“Scooby Doo” theme song. It was originally sung by Larry Maks, but in 1999, Billy Ray Cyrus did the honors for the movie.
