TRIVIA BITS … INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM

The seven base units of the Systems International d’Unites, or SI for short, were established in 1960. They are:

  • the metre (m) for length
  • the kilogram (kg) for mass
  • the second (s) for time
  • the ampere (A) for electric current
  • the kelvin (K) for thermodynamics temperature
  • the mole (mol) for amount of substance
  • the candela (cd) for luminous intensity
