BONO TO TURN AUSTRALIA RED

 

BONO

Bono has been invited to turn various Australian landmarks red to mark World AIDS Day.

The U2 singer, who is the founder of AIDS organisation RED, will reportedly change the colour of Sydney's Opera House and Harbour Bridge next Tuesday as part of the charity's worldwide commemorations.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the special ceremony will be hosted by Premier Kristina Keneally and Governor-General Quentin Bryce.

Other landmarks across the world taking part in the event include the London Eye and City Hall in Dublin.

U2 are scheduled to start the Australian leg of their tour the following day.
