DAYDREAMING CAUSES UNHAPPINESS

Data collected from an iPhone app called TrackYourHappiness shows that people spend about 47% of their time daydreaming.

Researchers conclude that mind-wandering is the cause of unhappiness. The participants were happiest when exercising, making love or engaging in conversation.

The two authors both psychologists at Harvard University — said, “The ability to think about what is not happening is cognitive achievement that comes at an emotional cost.”
