Pretty soon the University of South Carolina will offer up its own course on Lady Gaga. Next semester sociology professor Mathieu Deflem will be teaching a course called “Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame.”
According to the class description, “The central objective is to unravel some of the sociologically relevant dimensions of the fame of Lady Gaga.”
The professor, who’s a Gaga fanatic, has met the pop star before and even has his own website dedicated to her.
