The Three Stooges movie could be that much closer to happening as talks of casting the three main characters is well underway.
The Wrap reports 20th Century Fox, which recently took over the film from MGM, is in talks with three comedians to play the Curly, Larry, and Moe.
Sean Penn and Benicio del Toro were originally in talks to star in the film, but that doesn't seem to be happening anymore.
According to the reports, Johnny Knoxville of Jackass fame would play Moe; Andy Samberg from Saturday Night Live and films like Hot Rod would play Larry, and Australian comedian Shane Jacobson would play Curly.
Peter and Bobby Ferrelly are set to direct the comedy.
