TRIVIA BITS … THE GLORIOUS REVOLUTION

 

Britain’s ‘Glorious Revolution’ of 1688 saw the Roman Catholic King James II ousted form his throne by a staunchly Protestant Parliament. He was accused of acting contrary to the ‘fundamental constitution of the kingdom’. His successors, William and Mary, signed a Bill of Rights which forms a key part of a de facto constitution.
