A Bit of Liverpool from The Supremes was released October 16, 1964 on the Motown label. A cover/tribute album dedicated to the music of the concurrent British invasion, A Bit of Liverpool features covers of songs from The Beatles, Gerry & The Pacemakers, and The Dave Clark Five. Also present are two Motown songs which were heavily covered by British acts: The Miracles' "You've Really Got a Hold on Me" and The Contours' "Do You Love Me".

"A Hard Day's Night", "You Can't Do That", "Can't Buy Me Love", and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" were all originally recorded by The Beatles. "Because" and "Bits and Pieces" were originally done by The Dave Clark Five. "How Do You Do It" is a Gerry & The Pacemakers original, and the version of "The House of the Rising Sun" here is based upon the hit version by The Animals.

For its UK release, the album was titled The Supremes: With Love, From Us To You.
