ZETA-JONES TO RECEIVE WELSH HONOUR

Catherine-Zeta-Jones-13

Catherine Zeta-Jones is to be honoured for promoting her native Wales across the world - she's landed a society award in New York. The Chicago star will be the guest of honour at a ceremony held by St David's Society of the State of New York at the Yale Club on March 4.

During the glitzy event, Zeta-Jones will be handed the William R Hopkins medal, the society's highest honour, in recognition of her Welsh heritage and pride. Her husband Michael Douglas, who recently overcame throat cancer, is due to attend the gala with her.
