A teenager in Australia who sent out an invitation to her Facebook friends was forced to cancel her 16th birthday party after nearly 200,000 people replied that they would be attending.

She made the mistake of putting her home address in the invitation, saying it’s an “open house party as long as it doesn’t get out of hand.” Within 24 hours of sending out the invitation close to 20,000 people had replied.

A few days later, the number of replies had grown to almost 200,000. The teen’s father said that his daughter only asked “a few friends” and didn’t know that there were settings that could prevent strangers from seeing the invite
