“FACEBOOK” DEPRESSION

A new condition called “Facebook depression” may be affecting your teenager, or you for that matter, if you spend too much time on it.

Researchers warning in the latest issue of Pediatrics Journal that the constant feed of status, picture and message updates gives you a skewed view of reality, which could make vulnerable kids feel like they aren’t good enough. According to the study,

Facebook can create a false reality because people normally post the best sides of themselves — not the full story. It’s really like a big popularity contest — who can get the most friend requests or get the most pictures tagged.
