The Foo Fighters raised a huge $842,000 (GBP526,000) for the Queensland flood relief effort with their special gig Down Under in March. Dave Grohl’s band played a show in Auckland, New Zealand to raise funds for the Christchurch earthquake victims before heading to Brisbane, Australia to perform at a charity gig to boost donations for flood victims in Queensland.

Queensland Premier Anna Bligh revealed on Tuesday, May 3, that the band's efforts raised an incredible sum for the Disaster Relief Appeal, which helps residents rebuild their lives and communities following a series of devastating floods which hit the region from December 2010.
