The only time in which two versions of the same song, sung in the same film, both made the record charts, occurred in 1957 with the song Tammy.

In the film Tammy And The Bachelor, The Ames Brothers sang the theme over the credits, while in the film Debbie Reynolds also sang Tammy. The Ames Brothers' version (RCA Victor 47-6930) peaked at number-five in 1957, while Debbie Reynolds's (Coral 61851) reach number-one and became the song of the year.
