First teaser trailer of upcoming Taylor Kitsch -starring fantasy movie "John Carter" has been unleashed. The preview offers various heroic footage of a man named John Carter who gets transported to a historic world where he takes part in an epic warship, with a cover of Arcade Fire's "My Body Is a Cage" by Peter Gabriel being used as the backsound.
Based on Edgar Rice Burroughs's classic novel, "John Carter" tells the story of an American Civil War veteran who suddenly enters a nearly collapse planet Mars (Barsoom), where he then becomes a hero who saves Barsoom from destruction. During his journey to Barsoom, he meets Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe), who becomes his ally, and rescues a humanoid Red Martian princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins) from the belligerent four-armed Green Martians.
