Die Hard 4.0 was a box office hit, and that has led to an inevitable sequel being planned. Noam Murro was attached to direct but has since dropped out due to his commitment to helming 300 prequel Xerxes. Which leaves the director’s chair empty once more.
According to Twitch, John Moore (Max Payne, Behind Enemy Lines) has been offered the gig if he wants it. Which he hasn’t yet decided if he does or not.
Whoever directs Die Hard 5 in the end, the first details of the plot have leaked. John McClane and his son will be headed to Russia where they find themselves getting drawn into a conflict with local forces. So expect lots of explosions and another gun battle between a police car and a jet fighter.
