Tony-winning stage and screen star Hugh Jackman returns to the New York stage for a 10-week run of Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, performing musical numbers accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra.

The show has been booked into the Broadhurst Theatre and begins performances on October 25 and run through January 1, 2012. Opening night has been set for November 10.

"I can't believe it's been seven years since I was singing and dancing on Broadway,” Jackman said in a statement, referring to his Tony-winning run in The Boy From Oz. “There is nothing like performing on the Great White Way and I'm so excited to be coming ‘home.’”

Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, is described as “a personal selection” of the star’s favourite musical numbers that reflect on his life and career, from The Boy From Oz to Hollywood. Earlier versions of the show had sold-out runs in San Francisco and Toronto.
