Andy Serkis is set to reprise his role as Caesar in the sequel of "Rise of the Planet of the Apes".
Deadline reported that Serkis has signed a seven-figure deal with 20th Century Fox to make his return as the lead ape in the follow-up movie.
The reported deal made the 47-year-old actor the first cast member to have signed on to the franchise. Offers for lead actor James Franco and his co-star Freida Pinto will likely be made when the direction of the film is finalized.
