COPING OVER THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD

Christmas can be a much pressured time. It is important to be able to get away from the stress, calm down and develop techniques for coping.

 

 

 

 

Here are a few tips:

  • Try deep breathing, yoga or meditation
  • Cut back on commitments – it’s OK to say “No”
  • Do something just for you – something relaxing that you enjoy
  • Go for a walk or spend some time in a garden
  • Spend some time with your pet therapist – our pets always seem to know how we are feeling
  • Be patient with yourself – it’s normal to forget things when you are overwhelmed
  • Treat yourself to a Christmas present – make time for regular relaxation to remain focussed.
