REMINSICING ... BOBBY VEE

BOBBY VEE 004

On February 3, L959, Buddy Holly,  J P Richardson' and Ritchie Valens were killed when their plane, on route to Fargo, North Dakota, crashed in a snow storm. In Fargo, a local talent named Robert Velline filled in for the missing trio of superstars. Robert Velline would one day change his name to Bobby Vee.

Bobby Vee recorded with such groups as The Shadows, The Crickets, The Eligibles, The Ventures, and The Strangers.

Bobby Vee once released Robert Zimmerman from his band because Vee felt that Zimmerman had no future in the music business. Zimmerman later changed his name to Bob Dylan.

In 1973 , Bobby Vee cut the album Nothing Like A Sunny Day under his given name of Robert Velline.
