buddy-holly-CRICKETS-A

Buddy Holly and the Crickets' 1957 hit That'll Be The Day (Brunswick 55009) was inspired by one of John Wayne's lines in the 1957 movie The Searchers. The British group The Searchers took their name from the same John Wayne film. The song That'll Be The Day would in1973 inspire a rock movie by the same name. The song is played on the soundtrack of the 1973 movie American Graffiti and in That'll Be The Day (by Bobby Vee and The Crickets).
