Thank you John Stamos

Too often the world of the news is dominated by stories of tragedy, of inhumanities, of danger and trauma. This type of story is often accompanied by news of celebrities misbehaving, having their hair cut, possible wardrobe malfunction and such that in the long and short of life don’t carry that much weight.

The celebrities that go out of their way to be involved in communities in many varied ways often go un-noticed or are relegated to the back page one paragraph story line.

Here is an example .... John Stamos thank you for your heart of kindness and genuine love for those who less fortunate than we are.

Kaitlyn Dobrow has a date with Uncle Jesse! After losing all of her limbs due to a bacterial infection, the 19-year-old survivor is going to Disneyland with John Stamos.

The 49-year-old Full House star shared a photo on Instagram Tuesday, Aug. 6, of himself posing beside Dobrow's hospital bed. "I'm ONLY doing this cause they asked," he captioned the shot. "I said no press. But this story is a must read -- plus me and katie have a date to Disneyland."

Stamos also included a link to an article on New York Daily News that shares the story of Dobrow's battle with the deadly bacterial infection meningococcemia. The young California resident was first admitted to UC Irvine Medical Center in February, and has since undergone 12 surgeries -- including amputations and skin grafts -- to fight the infection.

"Initially, she cried when she learned about her limbs," her father, Don Dobrow, said. "But the following day she said this is something I'll find a way to make work, and joked, 'Who needs a left arm anyway?'"
