"The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn" has not opened in theatres yet, but already a sequel for the animated movie is being materialized. In the new print edition of The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Jackson confirmed that he will replace Steven Spielberg to tackle the directorial duty and that he will start working on "Tintin 2" right after finishing "The Hobbit".
Spielberg explained furthermore that the script for the sequel has already been written, "[Sony and Paramount] were willing to do one movie with us and then give us the financial werewithal to develop a script, do all the visual storyboards and get it really in launch position. So we can launch pretty quickly on a second movie. The script is already written."
