!little-richard-penniman

Little Richard once stated that of all the people who have sung his songs, Paul McCartney did the best version when he sang lead on The Beatles' Long Tall Sally.

Little Richard and The Upsetters recorded an original version of Tutti Frutti on the Peacock Record label in 1955 but it went unreleased until Specialty Records bought the master.

The right leg of Little Richard is three inches shorter than his left, which explains why he appears at times to stand at an angle.

Of Little Richard's 20 hits on the Hot 100, none have made it into the Top Five. Little Richard sang Do It in the 1971 .Warren Beatty/Goldie Hawn film Dollars.
