TRIVIA BITS … MELTING POINT

 

The melting point is theoretically the same as the freezing point – the temperature at which a liquid becomes a solid. If kept very still, many substances can be ‘supercooled’ below the freezing point without becoming a solid. For this reason, the melting point is a more accurate indication of a substance’s characteristics.
