Sir David Lean CBE - was an English filmmaker, producer, screenwriter and editor, best remembered for big-screen epics such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Doctor Zhivago, Ryan's Daughter, and A Passage to India. Lean has four films in the top eleven of the British Film Institute's Top 100 British Films.
Summertime (1955), marked a new direction for Lean. It was shot entirely on location in Venice. U.S.-financed, the film starred Katharine Hepburn as a middle-aged American woman who has a romance while on holiday in Venice.
In the following years, Lean made the epics for which he is best known: The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), for which he won an Academy Award, followed by another for Lawrence of Arabia, (1962). Doctor Zhivago (1965) was another major hit.
In addition, Lean directed some scenes of The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965) while George Stevens was doing location work in Nevada.
Following the moderately successful Ryan's Daughter in 1970, he did not direct another film until A Passage to India (1984), which would be his last.

A new study revealed it takes the average mother one-and-a-half years to ‘feel like a woman again’ after childbirth.
Experts found that sleepless nights lead to a dip in confidence — amid the loss of independence, worries over her post-baby figure and how she will be perceived by others.
Personal fitness, fashion and social life also take a back seat as a new mother comes to terms with caring for her new arrival.
But finally after 18 months the confidence begins to return as baby weight falls off, they become more comfortable with the role of motherhood and settle back into work.
The 18-month figure was reached from a survey of 3,000 mothers carried out by www.abeautifulmummy.co.uk.

This the first photo from ANONYMOUS featuring Rhys Ifans. The movie also stars Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson, David Thewlis, Xavier Samuel, Sebastian Armesto, Rafe Spall, Edward Hogg, Jamie Campbell Bower, Derek Jacobi, and directed by Roland Emmerich.
Anonymous Synopsis: Set in the political snake-pit of Elizabethan England, Anonymous speculates on an issue that has for centuries intrigued academics and brilliant minds ranging from Mark Twain and Charles Dickens to Henry James and Sigmund Freud, namely: who was the author of the plays credited to William Shakespeare? Experts have debated, books have been written, and scholars have devoted their lives to protecting or debunking theories surrounding the authorship of the most renowned works in English literature. Anonymous poses one possible answer, focusing on a time when cloak-and-dagger political intrigue, illicit romances in the Royal Court, and the schemes of greedy nobles hungry for the power of the throne were exposed in the most unlikely of places: the London stage.
Anonymous will be released to theatres September 2011.

The happy couple enjoyed the sights, then returned to the luxurious Fountainblue hotel, to grab a bite to eat at the lunch buffet.
