“Bella” was the most popular name for dogs in 2010. The Veterinary Pet Insurance Co. in the US found that the name — whose rise in popularity is most certainly due to the “Twilight Saga” — was the second most popular moniker for cats.
Other top names for dogs included Bailey, Max, Lucy, Molly, Buddy, Maggie, Daisy and Sophie. Cat owners favored Max, Chloe and Oliver.
Some of the weirder dog names in 2010 included Pickle Von Corndog, Badonkadonnk, Ninjastar Dangerrock, and Lord Chubby Pruneface. Strange kitty monikers? Admiral Pancake, Senor Nachos, Miss Headbutter and Meepmeep.
