Months after the "Harry Potter" movie series has been wrapped up, DVDs of the popular wizard boy movies will also be disappeared from the stores. On Monday, October 24, Warner Bros. Pictures announced that it will stop shipping all "Harry Potter" theatrical film titles, including "Harry Potter: The Complete 8-Film Collection", starting December 29.

Warners' moratorium does not include the digital, Electronic Sell-Through and VOD, or game version of the franchise. The action was taken as an attempt to boost up the sales of the films leading to the holiday season by encouraging individuals to buy the DVDs before they are no longer available.

The "Harry Potter" film franchise becomes the highest grossing film series of all time with $7.7 billion in worldwide receipts. Its last instalment, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" is named the biggest movie in 2011 and the third biggest movie of all time.
