YES, PRIME MINISTER

YES PRIME MINISTER

The West End production of Yes, Prime Minister has recouped the entire cost of its run, less than five weeks after its first performance. The box office has already taken over £2.5 million, and has welcomed distinguished guests from the world of politics and beyond, including the Chancellor George Osborne, the Home Secretary Theresa May, former Home Secretary David Blunkett, King Constantine II of Greece and Gloria Hunniford.

As experts continue to predict financial doom and gloom in this period of economic downturn, Yes, Prime Minister has shown that the public know a good comedy when they see one. In an unprecedented public-spirited gesture, the show's producers have offered the coalition government the opportunity to invest in the upcoming national tour. "We're all in this together," said producer Matthew Byam Shaw.

In recognition of the exceptional (and shockingly under-paid) job done by this country's Members of Parliament, and the recent cruel reduction in their expense accounts, all MPs will be admitted free of charge to Yes, Prime Minister, on production of valid ID. Unfortunately, producer Mark Goucher has confirmed that due to a recent spate of thefts, no more than two MPs will be admitted at any one time.

Any non-MPs wishing to find out more about the show are advised to visit www.yesprimeminister.co.uk.

SYNOPSIS:

Heading the coalition government, the PM is staring disaster in the face. The country is on the brink of economic crisis and there is just one grain of hope - a morally dubious deal with the Foreign Minister of Kumranistan... But great institutions have a way of riding punches and bouncing back unscathed - will it prove so for Jim Hacker and his team of close advisors?
