Dame Helen Mirren's portrayal of "The Queen" is movie fans' favourite royal role, according to a new online poll. In anticipation of Colin Firth's Best Actor win at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 16 for "The King's Speech", and his assured Oscar nomination, websites WENN and Fandango.com staged a weekend vote to find the best movie monarch.
Mirren topped the poll with 47 per cent, while Cate Blanchett's Elizabeth I came in second with 31 per cent of the vote.
