MADONNA, FORD, MISS PIGGY AND JACKMAN

SPL311059_015Madonna would be back on the road starting this May for a world tour that supports her new studio album "M.D.N.A.". The Queen of Pop has announced a number of dates, which will be her most extensive ever because she would visit Australia for the first time in twenty years and some other new markets. The tour will kick off on May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel and hit other 25 European markets, including London, Paris, Milan and Berlin, before hitting North American shores beginning August 28 in Philadelphia. She will perform in North America until before Thanksgiving, and then she will continue the trek to Latin America until the holidays. The tour will conclude in Australia in early 2013. Dates in the 2012 world tour can be seen on her official site.

Harrison-Ford009I87Harrison Ford will likely not reprise his phenomenal role as Rick Deckard in upcoming "Blade Runner" sequel. Alcon Entertainment, the company that finances the sequel, has shot down the rumours saying that Ford is in early talks to join the yet-to-be-titled movie project. To Deadline, Alcon's Andrew Kosove said that he and his partner Broderick Johnson couldn't just sit by while the faux rumours continue to run wildly. He then claimed, "It is absolutely patently false that there has been any discussion about Harrison Ford being in 'Blade Runner'."

MISS PIGGYThe one and only Miss Piggy has been appointed to be the official red carpet host of this year's BAFTA Awards. The Muppets member has the chance to interview and flirt with such Hollywood hunks like George Clooney and Brad Pitt when the film awards is held this Sunday, February 12. ''Imagine the likes of Clooney, Dujardin, Fassbender, Oldman and Pitt achieving the very pinnacle of their careers by getting a chance to speak with the one and only moi - Miss Piggy!'' she said. ''Naturally, I will be asking questions that only moi would dare to ask.''

wovlerine-2-2011 was a rough year for The Wolverine (a.k.a. Wolverine 2). The X-Men spinoff flick was originally supposed to hit theatres mid 2012, with Hugh Jackman working under the direction of Oscar-nominee Darren Aronofsky; that is, before Aronofsky bailed on the project, and the Japanese tsunami forced an additional delay in production. Shooting under new helmer James Mangold was pushed back again, to the latter portion of US Spring 2012. Once Jackman wraps up his role in director Tom Hooper’s Les Misérables musical adaptation, he is expected to begin work on The Wolverine – and 20th Century Fox has now officially slated the movie to hit theatres in mid 2013, on the assumption that there will not be any additional major production holdups.
