With a continuing history of more than 500 years, and associations with musical giants such as Mozart, Schubert and Brahms, the Vienna Boys Choir is one of Europe's most enduring musical traditions.
Touring Australia and New Zealand September and October 2012 , the twenty-four choristers will perform an eclectic selection of some of the most inspiring choral repertoire from around the world, including Mozart's Laudate Dominum and a special world premiere of a new work by Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin, set to the iconic poem My Country by Dorothea Mackellar.
The tour program also includes an inspiring selection of the choir’s own repertoire, including pieces from Renaissance to Modern and of course the beautiful Viennese favourites of Johann and Josef Strauss.
