Password Health

password-protection

In this day when individual, corporate and Governmental computers are being hacked, it is advisable to change passwords regularly. Here are few tips:

    • Add at least number somewhere in the password.
    • Utilize upper and lower case letters.
    • Don't make it obvious.e.g. Kids name, pets name, type of car, what your profession is... those kinds of things.
    • Never use your social security or any personal identification number.
    • Do not use sequential numbers (aka 123456 etc.)
    • Keep a list not on your computer of your passwords so that should something happen to you your loved ones will be able to retrieve your information.
    • Do not use the same passwords online. If you have for example Rztu2G10L for a password for email don't use that for your bank account.
