CHECK OUT THIS NEW APP

MealSnap claims it can give a calorie read-out based on a photo of the food you are going to eat.

The app says it will match the photograph of your meal to an item in their 500,000 food item database, which can then quickly help you identity the food, how many calories there are, proteins, fat, carbs, vitamins, and whatever else you may want to know. You can then choose to share what you’ve eaten on Twitter.

The app is sold in the iTunes store for $2.99.
